    Terms and Condition – The Program Code of Conduct and Age Restriction(Required)
    Seek is a four-day residential programme for young adults led by the Youth Apostolate (YA) of the Syro-Malabar Eparchy of St Thomas the Apostle, Melbourne. SEEK is a foundational faith encounter program for young adults who are beginning their journey of a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. SEEK offers a safe space for discovery, identity, healing, and belonging. Participants: Open to all young people aged 18-30 who are unmarried. Strictly limited to 60 people on a first-come, first-served basis.


    Program Code of Conduct
    1. Participate fully and cooperatively in all activities. Full attendance is MANDATORY (across all 4 days). You must be in attendance for all 4 days of the Unite Conference
    2. Pay attention to and follow instructions given by Conference Leaders and Supervising Adults/ Volunteers.
    3. Make sure a Supervising Adult/ Volunteer always knows your whereabouts.
    4. Uphold personal dignity through language, appropriate attire, actions, behaviour and relationships
    5. Uphold the dignity of all people, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and physical and mental abilities.
    6. Refrain from inappropriate sexual conduct including harassment.
    7. Treat property (including venues and personal property) with respect.
    8. Do not access, consume or distribute intoxicating substances or agents.
    9. Do not bring, access or distribute printed or visual material containing the explicit description or display of sexual organs or activity.
    10. Tell a Leader or a Supervising Adult/ Volunteer about anything that makes you or other participants feel worried, afraid or unsafe.

    I understand that there will be consequences if I fail to agree to and abide by this Code of Conduct as below:
    1. Reporting of my misconduct to local statutory authorities, if the breach in any way violates local child protection or other laws.
    2. Dismissal from and escorted out from the program venue.
    3. Reporting of the incident and actions taken by the Program Team to my parish/mission/ministry leader.
    4. Banned from involvement in future programs & conferences.
    5. Youth Apostolate will not be responsible for covering the costs of any material damages reported by the participants.

    Age Restriction
    Minimum Age Requirement: By using our website and making a purchase, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age.
    Responsibility for Minors: YA will not be responsible for any transactions or activities conducted by individuals under the age of 18. Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising and overseeing the use of our website by minors.

    Terms and Condition – The Payment Scheme and Cancellation Policy(Required)
    Payment Scheme

    Participants can choose to make a one-time full payment or opt for a payment plan. Any payment gateway charges should be paid by the participants.

    CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

    Registration Cancellation by Participant:

    All cancellations of SEEK registrations must be made in writing to Youth Apostolate of St. Thomas Eparchy, Melbourne (YA) via email to teens.ya@syromalabar.org.au for processing.

    Registration will close 1 week before the SEEK Program.

    Cancellations at any point in time before two weeks from the SEEK program (which you have selected to participate) will incur a non-refundable registration fee of $100. The remaining amount will be refunded to your account within 30 days of notification.

    Cancellations made at any point in time on or after two weeks from the SEEK program (which you have selected to participate) will incur a penalty of $100 for each registrant, plus a $100 registration fee (total of $200). The remaining amount will be refunded to your account within 30 days of notification.

    Cancellations received after the stated deadline/closing date of the registration (one week before the date which you have selected to participate) will not be eligible for a refund.

    Refunds will not be available for registrants who choose not to attend an event.

    Cancellations will be accepted via email and must be received by the stated cancellation deadline.

    All refund requests must be made by the attendee or credit card holder.

    Refund requests must include the name of the attendee and/or transaction number.

    Refunds will be credited back to the original credit card used for payment.

    These above terms and conditions apply to all events organised by the Youth Apostolate, unless otherwise noted in the corresponding event materials. Please read all individual event information thoroughly.

    Event Cancellation by Youth Apostolate (YA):

    YA reserve the right to cancel an event due to low enrolment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable.

    If YA cancels an event, registrants will be offered a full refund.

    Should circumstances arise that result in the postponement of an event, registrants will have the option to either receive a full refund or transfer registration to the same event at the new, future date.
    Terms and Condition – Privacy Statement(Required)
    Privacy and Security of Information Provided by Participants:
    1. YA take reasonable steps to protect privacy and safety of information provided.
    2. We do not store credit card information on our website.
    3. We use a third-party payment processor with secure payment technology for all transactions held on our site.
    4. We do not, at any time, hold or store any credit card information or personal data on our website.
    5. By accepting this, you consent to YA using your data for marketing purposes.
    Consent – Media(Required)

    By participating, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
    1. Permission to Record: You consent to the recording of your image, voice, and/or likeness by Youth Apostolate/SMYM through photographs, video recordings, audio recordings, and other media formats.
    2. Usage Rights: You grant Youth Apostolate/ SMYM the unrestricted, royalty-free, and perpetual right to use, reproduce, publish, and distribute such recordings in any media or format, including but not limited to websites, social media, promotional materials, and publications.
    3. Scope of Use: The recordings may be used for various purposes, including but not limited to marketing, educational content, promotional activities, and public relations.
    4. Waiver of Claims: You waive any claims to compensation or rights to review or approve the final product in which your image, voice, or likeness may appear.
    5. Opt-Out Option: If you do not wish to be recorded or if you have any concerns about the use of your media, please contact us at teens.ya@syromalabar.org.au prior to the event.
    Consent – Medical(Required)
    Medical Treatment Consent
    I give permission for YA to obtain emergency medical, hospital or ambulance assistance and/or treatment for the delegate at any time they consider necessary. I acknowledge that I will be liable for any medical, hospital or ambulance expense incurred in the treatment, and I agree to pay those expenses. I have informed YA of any allergies or other medical conditions that are relevant to this activity and will make any necessary medication available.
